Metro Vancouver Municipal Map For Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV)

Throughout British Columbia, the Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV) is legal on all roads up to 40km/hr, and upon municipal adoption, legal on roads of 50 km/hr. In the past two years, the cities of Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Whistler, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, and West Vancouver have all adopted the 50km/hr bylaw, to name a few, making the NEV an ideal sustainable choice for traveling around city centers, gated communities, resorts, sports stadiums, job sites, or neighborhoods.

"Denis Lang of Lang Motors Ltd. addressed City of North Vancouver council passionately July 28, hoping to have the municipality amend its transportation by-law on Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEV)" - North Shore News - August 6, 2008
